ISLAMIC AWARNESS WEEK
The DCU Islamic Society has been working with other societies, FOSIS, the SU and neighbouring ISocs to present IAW or Islamic Awareness Week.
Islamic Awareness Week is a national annual event that is organised by Islamic Societies (ISOCs) either within the university community on campus or within the wider local community. The aims of the week are to raise awareness and spread the message of Islam (da’wah) to non-Muslims in particular. Many societies use this opportunity to clear misconceptions, generate collaborations with other societies and to educate a generation of students on Islam. A university is an enriching platform for understanding and it can be through events like these that a positive impact can occur.
